Proceedings Aims and Scope

The Proceedings of the Scientific Assembly of Slavonia and Baranja aim to provide a permanent and internationally accessible publication venue for scholarly and professional research presented within the framework of the Scientific Assembly of Slavonia and Baranja.


The Proceedings are interdisciplinary and focus on papers that advance understanding of and responses to the development challenges of Slavonia and Baranja while connecting regional questions with broader Croatian, European and international scholarly debates.


The scope includes economic and regional development; demography and migration; sustainability and resilience; agriculture, food and food systems; health and quality of life; education, science and knowledge transfer; innovation and entrepreneurship; digital transformation, artificial intelligence and data technologies; public governance, law and public policy; infrastructure, spatial development and the environment; culture, identity, heritage, creative industries and tourism; and other interdisciplinary issues relevant to regional development.


Each published paper must be substantively aligned with the thematic scope of the relevant edition of the Scientific Assembly and meet the editorial, peer-review and ethical requirements of the Proceedings.
